There was great excitement as the stage show “Songs from the Movies” opened in Rynpark1.
Everyone enjoyed those old favourite  songs from the classic musicals.

Nico kept the crowds entertained with dancing and jiving on Spring Day. What a great time everyone had.

And the winners of the bowls challenge is …(Drum roll please) Rynpark!!!!

Rynpark claim the bowls floating trophy back from Northmead  Bowling Club by beating them 5 games to 4 games with one game drawn. Well done to all the Rynpark players. Rynpark has 37 current bowlers living in all the different parks.  Most of the bowlers come from RP2/3 and RP5 with the balance made up of residents from RP4 and RP6 and RP7. Our special lady Eileen Wilson is a resident of RP1 and gets the support of those residents in that park.

The Floating Trophy is made up of a Walking Stick next to a Bowl placed on a wooden plinth.

We say well done to all our residents in Rynpark.

The next Challenge match will be in September 2023, fondly known as the Spring Challenge.

We also would like to thank the Northmead Bowling Club for donating R2500.00 to our Benevolent Fund. They have also donated a full size Table Tennis table for us to use at our leisure and maybe we can  have a competition between our different parks. This table is in the hall at RP5.

Good day had by all both Rynpark and Northmead players and we look forward to the next challenge in September.

It’s wonderful how the garden and the poster have integrated. It almost looks as if the garden in the poster is 3D. Well done Rynpark gardeners.

Assisted living open day

There was such great excitement at the long anticipated Assisted living facility in Rynpark 1.
We got such lovely comments from all the visitors. Seems that it is going to be a great hit.
Think of Assisted Living as a much more cost effective solution than frail care for people that are still mobile.

drama in zuurfontein

The audience of Rynpark were kept in fits of laughter by the crazy antics of the inhabitants of Zuurfontein. The drama group of Rynpark put on a play that kept the aundience in stitches (and occasionally the actor themselves). All the action takes place around Oom Charlie’s Bar the central watering hole for all the local characters.
Things get a little more “interesting” when a good looking gent joins the mix and the girls do their best to take him home to their own “B&B”.
With all the drinking, dancing, singing and music it seemed a bit close to home.
